It doesn't surprise me one bit that you don't like them, at all.

Same. I get the feeling he listened to them just so he could tell us how much he thinks they suck.

false. i'm very open minded. as time goes by sometimes i enjoy music that i couldn't stand before, or just wasn't into. so i decided to give this type of music another chance. and once again it didn't do anything for me. besides a few bands, i don't think death metal will ever do anything for me. i've tried getting into it so many times but always can't stand it in the end.

Well starting with Blasphemophagher probably isn't the best way to get into it. They're more underground and raw. I started out with more modern sounding bands like Decrepit Birth, Behemoth (later material), Psycroptic, Hate, etc. and worked my way back to the 90s/late 80s. It's an acquired taste, and at first I didn't see myself ever listening to these kind of bands, but that changed over time. So, that's what I recommend you do if you want to try to get into death metal.

Hahaha they are a fucking awful way to get into it. It's like getting into medical-gore grind by starting at General Surgery. Blasphemophagher is quite literally supposed to be a fusion of Blasphemy and Sarcofago worship, although I actually prefer them to those bands. Even with that, like treghet said they are extremely raw and I wouldn't expect the average listener, even a "metal fan" to love the sound.

i could stand some death metal. i've seen a decent amount of death metal bands and most of them were very entertaining live, but still can't get into the studio work. i thought i'd give the underground death metal scene another chance too because so many people (esp on this board) give these bands so much hype and make it seem as if the music is godly, but when i listen it does nothing at all for me. for example i know a lot of people here are in love with the Maryland Deathfest lineups, but i honestly listened to a lot of bands on the lineup with a very open mind and couldn't stand most of them. to each of their own though.
