Unbelievable. Firstly, that he's gone. I really thought he'd make it because of how confident they were that they'd caught it early enough.

But secondly that there's any kind of debate over anything going on in this thread. At all.

Seriously, shut the fuck up.

Glad I got to see Ronnie a total of seven times live in three countries. Four with Dio, three with H&H.

2002/10/16 Dio - Astoria, London, England
2004/08/14 Dio - Astoria, London, England
2005/10/22 Dio - Astoria, London, England
2007/06/07 Heaven & Hell - Sweden Rock Festival, Solvesborg, Sweden
2007/11/10 Heaven & Hell - Wembley Arena, London, England
2008/05/28 Dio - Astoria, London, England
2009/06/27 Heaven & Hell - Stadio Brianteo, Monza, Italy

Many of his CDs are still amongst my favourite albums of all time, and his was the first metal voice I heard that I truly liked and prompted my maturing, so to speak, from rock to metal. That was the 'Lock Up The Wolves' album; title track.

Now playing:

Lock Up The Wolves
Lock Up The Wolves
Dio

Sing me a song, you're a singer
Do me a wrong, you're a bringer of evil
The Devil is never a maker
The less that you give, you're a taker
So it's on and on and on
...it's Heaven and Hell, oh well

I'm listening to Dio radio on Last.fm and looking for my DVD where I backed up Heaven and Hell, Mob rules, Holy Diver, The Last in Line, Banned Heart, Intermission, and Dream Evil in FLAC format.

If I can't find it then I will have to have to find them in my cd collection.

RIP RJD thanks for the contributions you have made to the music I love, you will be missed.

R.I.P Dio. This is such an awful loss for the metal community. Dio was a pioneer and one of the finest vocalists ever. He will be be sorely missed.

Last year I was lucky enough to have a photo pit pass for the Gods of Metal fesival, the first day of which was headlined by Heaven & Hell.

Only allowed in there for three songs, but I got to see them play my all-time favourite Black Sabbath song, 'I' from a matter of feet away.

Fucking magic.

Exactly. Like I said on a previous post don't piss people off more who are already pissed about this. Everyone is still processing this, so let's just keep this thread about our feeling's on this loss and nothing more.

Not at all. The people telling you (and anyone else entering into the same debate, it's not just you) to shut the fuck up over this in a thread celebrating the life of someone who just died are 100% in the right.

It's not about being easily offended, it's about respect, and by even making your first post just to point out you don't agree with something someone said about Dio, regardless of whether you tried to make sure you didn't directly offend the man, shows a complete lack of respect for the thread, the people posting in it, and to an extent Dio. It doesn't matter if you're right or not (I don't think you are, personally), you should have just let it be entirely.
