I know what you're talking about, but I still am just not bothered by it. I honestly am really surprised that Ralf Scheepers didn't do this instead of Ripper.

Oooh, good shout. He'd have worked.

The fact that Ralf or Mat Sinner have not been on any of the Avantasia discs is honestly really surprising to me.

Do you have any other thoughts regarding the disc?

Not yet, it's too early. I was paying attention until the fourth track, and then got caught up in something tricky on my site and stopped concentrating on the music.

I've got a week off work coming up this week, so I'm going to sit down and listen to both albums fully.

im suprised that Hansi Kursch never showed up on an Avantasia album, especially since he worked with Tobias on the Vain Glory Opera album, wouldve thought that would be an easy pickup for an Avantasia record.

I think there's an element of not wanting to duplicate too many of the vocalists Arjen Lucassen has used...

You know, it's sorta bothered me that Tobi seems to by shying away from some of the European vocalists, and leaning towards the American bands. While no doubt I'm thrilled Jon Oliva was asked to participate, but some of the others that have been chosen (while I like all of them) seems like a bit of a sell out to me. Tobi is desperate to be popular in America, and I have no idea why. Europe has a way better scene. I don't get it.

has to try and impress America i guess, i mean Edguy barely gets a full tour here, and Avantasia albums aren't released here at all. (Which really sucks cause i want to buy Wicked Symphony, but not willing to pay the imported price lol)

I would rather he not try to impress America. That's how we end up with songs like Lavatory Love Machine.

You know you can buy it imported off a lot of websites for like $10 apiece. That's not expensive at all.
