Amazing show. Special appearance by Kenny G was particularly interesting. It appeared he was there with his son and some friends and had gotten them pit tickets and back stage passes. Seemed like a pretty cool dude and dad. He brushed off some of the crowd chants with a smile and seemed very down to earth for a guy who has sold 75 million records.

Here he is giving us the metal horns. This picture is a classic.

I saved up and flew from Chicago just for this show as Opeth skipped Chicago this time. Please don't do this again Opeth. We really appreciated being included in the Evening with Opeth a few years ago along with L.A. and New York.

I decided to spring for VIP tickets and they were well worth it. Got to meet and take pictures with each band member and I was given a personalized L.A. Evolution XX T-shirt and an already signed version of the Legacy Issue of Blackwater Park. They also gave us a really cool Evolution XX tour program with a band history and lots of pictures. This is a very nice souvenir of the evening.

It was an incredible experience and one of the best concerts I've ever had the pleasure of seeing. Thanks Opeth!!

This has got to be a metalsetlists first.... I'm seriously speechless right now. Even after a long night @ the bar I literally have nothing. Wow!!! Great stuff!!! All hail the G!!!!!! So technically do we get to tag Kenny G now? Lol

This show was easily in my top 10 of all-time. Sound was killer, they played great and the view (and room) down in the pit was fantastic. Couldn't have been any better. I've seen Opeth about 6 or 7 times now, and this was one of the best.

~blinks~ Kenny... G?

... I'm still not 100% sure this isn't a late April Fools joke. It seems too weird.

Was he just at the show, or did he come out onstage?

He was just at the show. Didn't play but I couldn't resist putting his name on the setlist tag as he was a musician. That's really him and not a joke. I confirmed that it was him visually and prior to the show one of the door people had noted that Kenny G was backstage at the prior Opeth show at the Wiltern.

a great fuckin show i love it,beside you dont need a VIP package where you can wait for them to sign your stuff and chill with them before they did their soundcheck.

and again i love the show,i left with a broken jaw and a spot of bleeding, almost dislocated my shoulder in the pit but worth it =)

yup Opeth & me before their soundcheck
