Dark Tranquillity -- Los Angeles, CA -- March 6th, 2010

Interviewed Mikael Stanne of Dark Tranquillity at around 5.30 backstage. Didn't care to stand in line after that. It was raining too. So chilled out at Dennys with my friends. Got in just a few minutes before show time.

Dark Tranquillity were fucking awesome. I think they made one change in their regular set from this tour, not sure what it was. After that I hung out in the lobby during Devil Wears Prada, even though I was photographer last night, with people from Roadrunner, Jeff from DevilDriver, Phil from Machine Head and all the guys from Dark Tranquillity. SO much better than seeing that band. Fuck TDWP. Burn in hell.

Didn't have a ticket so had to leave after shooting the first 3 songs of KSE. Not that I cared to stay anyway. No idea of setlist.

Thank you! I had to work a lot harder to make those pics look good. All of us photographers were fucking pissed that we weren't allowed to shoot from in front of the pit for some reason. Thats where I've shot from for all my previous gigs.

I was literally right behind you while you were shooting. I liked the Amon Amarth patch you have.

I was pissed I didn't get to go to TBDM/Augury/Obscura/HateSphere, but my friends were going to Killswitch so I got a ticket. It was much better than staying at home, but waiting outside in the rain for an hour sucked. And sorry I don't know Dark Tranquillity's set either, but they were awesome.

what a burn. this show, Unearth, and Black Dahlia Murder all in the same day and i didn't go to any of them.

There were like 3 other shows I could have been at. This one or the BDM show or The Iron Maidens in Santa Ana or Roy Z at Paladino's, where Bruce Dickinson was rumored to make an appearance. I confirmed it in the day time that he is most likely not making it, otherwise I would have definitely said 'fuck you' to the Wiltern gig
