I'd just be happy to hear something like Where Eagles Dare. It would be awesome if they did Powerslave/Rime again, but chances are we'll get neither.

Eagles would be amazing. Will DT probably be changing their set every night? They usually do that right? I hope so because I'll be seeing them 5 times. Not really a fan (haven't listened to much of their stuff) but hopefully they'll play some songs I'll end up enjoying.

Just go buy Images & Words. It's one of the best albums ever made in my opinion.

I really don't know what to expect - my friend who is obsessed with DT says when they do support slots they tend to stick to a fairly constant setlist, but who knows. I really just hope they take this opportunity to play some of their more straight-forward, shorter, more traditional songs. Specifically I'm looking at tracks like Pull Me Under, Take the Time, Under a Glass Moon, 6:00, Caught in a Web, Strange Deja Vu, and really anything off of their debut record, which I honestly think would go over great with Maiden fans.

Here's another random dream DT setlist:

01.Overture 1928
02.Strange Deja Vu
03.A Rite of Passage
04.6:00
05.Another Hand / The Killing Hand
06.As I Am
07.Pull Me Under
08.learning to live

Alright, I love both of these bands enough that damn near any setlist they choose to pull out would be satisfactory, but here's something ideal and not totally impossible:

Dream Theater:
Overture 1928 (intro)
Strange Deja Vu
Pull Me Under
Erotomania
Voices
The Count of Tuscany
Metropolis, Part 1: The Miracle and the Sleeper

Iron Maiden:
Doctor Doctor (intro)
Where Eagles Dare
Revelations
Lord of the Flies
2 Minutes to Midnight
The Wicker Man
*new song*
Wasted Years
22 Acacia Avenue
Killers
The Number of the Beast
The Trooper
Infinite Dreams
Paschendale
Fear of the Dark
Iron Maiden
--
Powerslave
The Evil That Men Do
Hallowed Be Thy Name

Tried to be a LITTLE realistic, although the Maiden one is obviously a stretch.

Dream Theater:

Overture 1928
Strange Deja-Vu
A Rite Of Passage
Pull Me Under
Wither
Voices
The Silent Man
Metropolis

This is based on weather DT is gonna use their time wisely and not do extended solos or jams that take up half their set time. But since we all know that won't happen this is about the best we can hope for.

THE MIGHTY IRON MAIDEN:

Moonchild
Caught Somewhere In Time
2 Minutes To Midnight
The Trooper
Die With Your Boots On
No More Lies
Different World
*new song*
The Prisoner
Murders In The Rue Morgue
Phantom Of The Opera
Ghost Of The Navigator
Paschendale (with Bruce's intro from DOTR)
Powerslave
Brighter Than A Thousand Suns
Fear Of The Dark

The Number Of The Beast
Where Eagles Dare
Hallowed Be Thy Name

Good call bet they'll play WED.

It'd be sweet if Dream Theater a) hit the black ice (unlikely since its summer but ya never know) or b) played one of their cover album sets (Made in Japan preferably, or perhaps for the occasion Maiden Japan, though on second thought I don't wanna hear James LaQueer butcher Innocent Exile among others)

If WED is on Maiden's set I MUST go!

Am I the only one who would want Scarred on a DT set list?

I'd pay big $ just to see these 2 songs by these 2 bands!

Awake is my favorite DT album, but Scarred is my least favorite song on it. Sorry mate.

Scarred is a great song and would be very cool to hear. They had that song in the regular rotation on the Chaos In Motion tour in 2007, so i'm not sure if they'll bring it back this soon or not.

As far as WED goes I think every single Maiden fan wants to hear them bust that one out this tour. I know the same can be said for a lot of their stuff but i'm not sure why that song has been ignored so much through the years. I think they did it in 2005 but before that I can't recall when the last time it was a regular in the set.

WED was done on the Early Days Tour which nearly made me cream myself. WED was the first song on my first Maiden show back in '83 so it has special meaning for me! Every time I have seen it live it is so special.
