That's an alright set but they should really do a few more off the new one. The only problem I really have is that they're mainly playing a set with all singles and nothing else. These guys are still way too young to be doing "best of" sets already.

I love Shadows Fall, but that's a weak headlining set. Is that even an hour worth of material? Saw them open for FFDP and they did 9 songs in about 45 minutes. If bands like Cannibal Corpse can do 80 minutes night after night, SF should be able to at least do that much.

I agree with you completely. But there's a disturbing trend over the last few years that bands that play kind of venues SF does are only doing an hour or so as a headliner now. I'm not sure exactly how it all started and why it is, but when you read these short sets for headliners it gives you the impression that they're not giving it all for their fans each night. When i saw Shadows Fall headline on the last tour they did 15 or 16 songs. I'm not sure what's changed now for them.

A lot of it has to two with all these multiple band tours you have now, I think. I remember when I first started going to concerts most of the time there would be two openers at the most and the headliner would come out and do at least 90 mins or more. Now some of these tours got four or five bands plus the headliner on the bill and it cuts into the headline acts time. Which is bullshit if you ask me. 90 percent of these opening bands are forgettable anyways and really shouldn't be on any major bill at all.

Sorry, about the rant. I guess I had a few things to get off my chest
