Alice In Chains -- St. Louis, MO -- February 22nd, 2010

All Secrets Known 02. It Ain't Like That 03. Again 04. Check My Brain 05. Them Bones 06. Dam That River 07. Rain When I Die 08. Your Decision 09. Got Me Wrong 10. We Die Young 11. The Last Of My Kind 12. Nutshell 13. Sickman 14. Lesson Learned 15. Acid Bubble 16. Angry Chair 17. Man In The Box 18. Would? 19. Rooster Set Time: 9:02-10:46 Alice In Chains Lineup: Vocals/Guitar: William DuVall Vocals/Guitar: Jerry Cantrell Bass: Mike Inez Drums: Sean Kinney This was another excellent show from a band that never disappoints. The new songs all sounded great. I am not sure why they are not playing A Looking In View as that song was very cool when they played it last year. The Last Of My Kind was definitely a highlight for me. Jerry blew out an amp about halfway through the show which caused a delay. William and Sean did some improvising to kill the time, which was cool. However, they cut No Excuses from the set list and only played 2 encore songs, which was kind of a bummer. Hearing the first three songs from Dirt played consecutively was another highlight. I would love to see them play Dirt in it's entirety for the 20th anniversary of that disc. Hearing Sickman was amazing. I hadn't heard that song live since 1992 on the Dirt tour. The Pageant is a cool place to see a show. The sound is always good and the stage is large. The crowd seemed somewhat mellow, which I found to be strange. There were a few exceptions but I saw a lot of people just standing around. Even Sickman did not really get the crowd going. I thought the crowd would go nuts for that one. I was standing one off the rail and there were numerous people standing motionless near me with their arms crossed all night. I expect the crowd at the Aragon in Chicago next month to be a totally different story.

I'm surprised to hear the crowd was dead for it. I can't figure that one out at all. I said before that AIC is putting together the best setslists of any band on tour right now. There aren't too many bands right now doing a headlining set of 20 songs and playing close to two hours every night. Very sad to hear the crowd didn't aapreciate them more. |

Jerry has said Looking In View is a bitch to sing and play at the same time.
