Glasgow SECC-26/03 OK I'm just back from said gig and will now give the review as promised.

I got to the venue early so I busied myself drinking overpriced beer in crap plastic "glasses".

When it did indeed come to playing time I managed to get very close to the front, which was excellent. The Scorpions were as everyone has said a great opening band and they have won yet another convert tonight. Klause Meine was throwing drumsticks into the vcrowd and managed to hit me right in the eye making him the only rockstar ever to cause me physical pain. Still at least I got the stick. Also Klause made himsef popular by singing Flowe Of Scotland at the start of the encores.

Priest were amazing. There is nothing particularly noteworthy about the setlist, you have all seen it by now. It's worth pointing out that they played Hellrider and do Exciter though. Rob was barely using his teleprompter, which allowed him to focus completely on his stage act. He ddi use it on Hellrider and (strangely) Painkiller though. At the end Ian Hill tossed me a pick but it hit the floor and some wee bastard got it before me. Still at least I got the stick from the Scorpions.

The crowd was of very mixed age, and there were some very young kids indeed. Something not lost on Rob. When he was giving his intro to Deal With The Devil "Priest have been making metal since 1971" he followed it up by pointing at some wee guy and saying "and that's a long time before you were born, welcome to the heavy metal family".

Anyway, all in all it was a great night and well worth going to.

Thanks, Hecho! There's never too much Priest-threads!

Sadly, they didn't play Hellrider in Finland , but at least they did Exciter here!

I was at this gig too! It was Awsome! Scorpians were good! better than I expected as i had only herd a few tracks from them and was surprised that they got an encore cos I've never seen an support act get an encore before. My Mate did point out that it didn't say on the ticket "Judas Priest plus Support" It said "Judas priest, The Scorpians", so it was like a co headliner thing I guess?

Priest were awsome! me n my mate went looking for someone when the lights went out so we ended up running back to the hall in time to see the eye with its lazer! was a cool opening! Set list was awsome! I knew most of the stuff by only owning 3 or 4 priset albums and Halfords live album I got the jist of it! "Judas is Rising", "breaking the law", "Living After Midnight", "hellbent for Leather" and "You've got another thing coming" were my faves of the night! was hoping they would play "united" cos they had the backdrop but it was closing in on 11pm and I thinks that the SECC curfew!

Really enjoyed myself! Top Gig! can't wait for the next priest tour!!!
