labyrinth

Really, really excited at the prospect of their next/new album being more along the lines of this stuff. The thought of "classic" labyrinth with good production... my god.

The Thirst
A Blueprint of the World
Enchant

This band has grown on me a lot in the past few months, as a further testament to my somewhat recent slight shift in taste. Great melodic prog rock.

I think you need to spend some time with Script for a Jester's Tear. There's no way it's not gonna be awesome given that shift you speak of.

I have heard Clutching at Straws already, and 2+ years ago, it sounded fairly good to me. Given my more recent adjustment, I'm planning on revisiting it and giving it the attention it deserves. If it goes over well, I'll move on to that. I've heard more than my fair share of Marillion thanks to you-know-who.

Vanden Plas

Shame on you Vanden Plas - for dropping this masterpiece of an album and now waiting us making 4+ years (and counting) for a follow up. I pray it comes out this year.

Well, Script is a lot better, and basically a masterpiece of prog rock - probably the only post-1970s, non-Porcupine Tree album I'd give that distinction to. If you're gonna hear one, it needs to be that one in my opinion.

Script for a Jester's Tear
Script for a Jester's Tear
Marillion

A disturbing number of plays in iTunes!
