I didn't realize it was that expensive, or so far away from you. I suppose I would have realized it if I had thought about it for a minute, but...I didn't. Coachella just seemed like something which may have been a cool thing to do in the past, and / or for a lot less money and trouble. I mean, Tool has been there. Primus has been there. You know, that kind of shit.

FUCK YES CAN YOU SAY NEW ENGLAND METAL AND HARDCORE FESTIVAL. My 2 fave bands on the same tour I can not even believe this.

Yeah, there are always a handful of cool bands/artists, but spread out over 3 days and 4-5 hundred miles away. They had Outside Lands in SF the past couple years, which hosts similar bands, but turned out to be a lamefest.
Just to give you an idea, it's 2 hours without traffic (ha) southeast from LA to Coachella.

Also: I'm convinced Oakland is gonna be a festival or something. They wouldn't hold out a date this long just dealing with a venue, and the Fox is not booked that day.

I went to Outside Lands last year...it was sweet.

It took them forever to announce one for Dethklok too, after they'd told me there'd be one. I'll wait it out for a while.
