I don't really understand how American audiences wouldn't be "worthy" of such good sets look at their album sales here: KEA-3 million RTL- 5 million MOP- 6 million AJFA- 8 million TBA- 15 million Load - 5 million Reload- 3 million St. Anger- 2 million(this is one of the biggest pieces of shit i've ever hear and it still sold well )DM- Platinum So Metllica really needs to re-think some shit if they don't believe their audiences here deserve sets like the ones they do outside of NA. |

Getting songs like CD/FWTBT or CD/RTL to start off shows isn't the same as getting Life/Line combo. Yes, the stuff off DM rocks hard live and it was recieved well when I saw them. But it wasn't recieved as well as seeing them open with Blackened in 2004 and Creeping Death in the summer of 1992.

Guys, I am from South America, Chile
The answers to your questions are, that...you've got Metallica concerts very often, they live there, I bet that you have seen the band many times. When they come down to southamerica, obviously change the setlist, because they don't come too often here, in fact, their last concert here in Chile was, MAY 14th, 1999...TEN YEARS! I think that's why they create or build a special setlist for us...in 2003 they cancelled the south american leg, so I think they felt in doubt with us hahaha and that's why we are so enthusiastic, with a lot of energy, we sing all the shit, even the riffs, these concerts are like once in a lifetime, instead of you, that Metallica always play in the States. I was waiting them since 2000, and finally could see them like a week ago, and I don't care what song was gonna play...any song I would enjoy XD well..except of Blitzkrieg, xD this is my humble opinion, sorry about my poor english. Greetings |

It's good to see some people from south of the US border chiming in here. I don't think there's too many people from there on this board so it's nice to get their perspective on things.
Cristinanrock, you make a good point about how infrequent Metallica plays there and that could deffinately be why they may play some more older stuff instead. They tour the US every 4 or 5 years now so we do get them a little more then you guys do. They do play those special sets in Europe as well and they spend as much time touring there, if not more, as they do here. I guess we'll never really know the answer as to why unless there's an interview somewhere or someone actually has the chance to meet them and ask exactly why that is. Don't worry about your English at all. It's actually better than some people who are from here
