Scorpions - "End of The Road"
So very very sad...
Important message to our fans: It was always our pleasure, our purpose in life, our passion and we were fortunate enough to make music for you — whether it was live on stage or in the studio, creating new songs. While we were working on our album these past few months, we could literally feel how powerful and creative our work was — and how much fun we were still having in the process. But there was also something else: we want to end the SCORPIONS' extraordinary career on a high note. We are extremely grateful for the fact that we still have the same passion for music we've always had since the beginning. This is why, especially now, we agree we have reached the end of the road. We finish our career with an album we consider to be one of the best we have ever recorded and with a tour that will start in our home country Germany and take us to five different continents over the next few years. We want you, our fans, to be the first to know about this. Thank you for your never-ending support throughout the years! We uploaded the very first snippets from our new album for you here. And now… let's get the party started and get ready for a 'Sting in the Tail'! I'll have to see them for sure next tour in the states. |

They ate shit in the 80's the worst out of the good 70's bands that started to tank when cocaine and synths became the jam (ZZ Top, Priest, Lizzy, UFO, Rainbow, Aerosmith, shit basically every rad rock group from the 70's wasn't as good in the 80's except for like Motorhead), but everything through Tokyo Tapes is awesome.

Oh, wow. Alright, yeah, I definitely have to see these guys when they hit the States. I have a friend who's going to be really upset about this news...

Wait a minute, I thought these guys had been done for about a decade or so now. They have released some good rock tunes over their career though. I did see them live in 1994 and it was an OK performance from what I remember. But their popularity was starting to tank at that time, they played in front of a less than half full amphitheater.
Intresting note about that show Motley Crue(with Jonh Corabi on vocals) was playing the same venue within a few days of them. The venue offered a by a ticket to one show and get a ticket half off for the other. I went to both shows and that deal didn't help the ticket sales at all. But Type O Negative opened for the Crue and my friend and I became fans of them after that. So some good did come out of it. |

I like "The Zoo"
That's about it though. I'm not going. No matter how "legendary" they are.
