A lot of bands seem to be doing the shorter headline sets now a days. I've complained about it before on these forums but I don't think it's really the headline acts fault. I think more of the blame needs to go to the promoters. They put 4 or five bands on every bill now so by the time the headliner comes on they've only got about 75 mins or less to play. If the promoters would cut at least one of the many needless bands who are on some of these bills the headliner could get an extra 20 minutes to play easily.

It's still a decent set though. In Machine Heads case though the shorter set might be more health related. I can't remember which member of the band it is but doesn't one of them have some medical issue and has passed out a few times before and they had to cancel some shows for it? That might explain the shorter sets from them.
