I definitely am interested in this, however I have one huge hang up about it.

Odds are they won't announce the entire lineup for quite some time, but this is so widely appealing it will probably sell out before that occurs. So being that I'd need to see an entire lineup to make a decision (barring the inclusion of a few, highly unlikely acts which would secure my attendance totally on their own), this will probably sell out before I can actually objectively make a decision. Also, due to the fact that I'm still strongly looking at going to ProgPower, I will have like absolutely no spare cash until mid-fall. So there goes that idea.

I gotta admit though, it's pretty well-priced, and unlike Triton Power Cruise, at least this will be taking up the full boat, so it is really like a floating metal festival - not shows and metalheads amidst tourist families.

Erm, WTF?!

"Add $249/pp for taxes, pre-paid gratuities, port charges, fuel-surcharges, booking, and ticketing"

I think that's just what happens on cruises. Not unique to this metal cruise.

DethMaiden is correct, and what's more, that's less than normal. Usually it's about two hundred just for the "mandatory" gratuities (even though, technically, you can ask them to take that off your invoice and give the crew whatever gratuity you think is reasonable - at least one cruise line let me do that a few years back...).

Hope you have the money now and are planning on booking soon.

The problem with this event is that it's too much money for people just to pull out of their ass, but it's going to sell out well before all the acts are announced. The lowest price-level cabins are already gone.
