Much too short a set! But a good time. New song sounded great, new singer is fine, always a good time.

Was he actually bringing something new to the band or was he just a copy of the old guy?

I think that's too hard to judge from just one show. I mean, the new song sounded a little different with his vocal style. But he did have some pretty nifty stances/faces as he played his solos haha...
