I wish I knew if this was going to pan out, because I'd rather see Behemoth with Amon Amarth than Septicflesh and Shining (even though both of those bands interest me somewhat). The Ex Deo part of the equation doesn't interest me at all, though - I saw a video of theirs on the On Demand part of my digital cable programming, and I was way underwhelmed. Pretty boring if you ask me.
The other inner conflict I have is who would headline this thing. Probably Amon Amarth, I would think. I would much rather see a longer set from them as opposed to Behemoth, but I would really like to see Behemoth in a headlining position as well (not against Amon Amarth, but just someday). Oh well, I guess it's all just meaningless conjecture until something is announced - hopefully that happens before the Behemoth tour hits Cleveland on January 27th...

This would actually give me incentive enough to see AA again. I like them a good deal, and they were one of my favorite bands for a long time, but at this point I've seen them four times and even though they DO switch up their setlists often enough and always put together a good one, I wouldn't exactly go out of my way to see them. I can't really understand why I feel like this about them, since they're pretty damn good live too.
But, with Behemoth? While I would much rather see Behemoth in a headlining situation, I'll gladly see them take direct support/co-headlining with another awesome band! Also, Ex Deo absolutely KILL live, they were really good the other night. I'm not super impressed by Romulus, but Maurizio's stage presence is monstrous. Same for Nergal and Johan, actually... |

By that time, your grandkids will be interested why you got a "classic rock" band tattooed on your knuckles.
