6. Meshuggah - Obzen
7. Gojira - From Mars to Sirius
8. Nile - Black Seeds of Vengeance (that was early 00's right?)
9. Cormorant - Metazoa (I feel wrong for putting them this far down, but I don't know)
10. Bloodbath - Nightmares Made Flesh

I'm leaving so much out but this is the quickest 10 I could think of.
I can't even agree with these.

Also, I figure if we do do a 00's decade voting thread ( doo doo), it will have to be metal only since including non metal would make it a pretty vague and pointless list. Metal/non-metal decision would be made by a majority vote by anyone who cares to pick a side.

Meaning that there is nothing on there that you would place in a top ten of 2000's list, or just that neither list is exactly the same ten that you would pick? Surely there is some stuff on both that you liked a great deal...

Am I the only one here that thinks Crack the Skye is better than Blood Mountain?

Maybe. I think Leviathan is on a level all its own, Blood Mountain is a fairly close second, and then Remission and Crack the Skye are of a similar quality level - awesome, but not masterpieces.

Yeah, Leviathan is far and away their best to me, but I couldn't ever get into Blood Mountain as much as I could Crack the Skye or Remission.
