I was offered a free ticket to see Papa Roach and Jet at Rams Head and laughed at my friends for even thinking that would happen. I proceeded to give them a wrath of shit for choosing that show over this one but understood that they were going to meet girls, but still...

Got to Recher Theatre an hour after doors and both openers had already played. Not sure how that's possible but both bands must be getting 20-25 minutes tops I guess. We did a couple shots of Jager and headed up to the stage.

Unearth is a band that I own every cd of. For the record I'll never buy another cd of theirs. They played the same exact set as the last time I saw them and once again they didn't play their best song Giles or more than 1 song off their best cd III. 5 songs off the new cd is 4 songs too many and their stage presence mirrored Papa Roach to a T. When the 5'nothing guitarist ran through the crowd, jumped on the merch table and played some boring rhythm riff like he was Zakk Wylde I was officially done. These guys were given the proverbial red carpet for success opening for Slayer, Testament and Hatebreed/CC and they failed miserably. What could have been...

Next up were Cannibal Corpse. The place was getting packed so we went and did another shot of jager and headed up to the edge of the pit. They opened with Evisceration Plague and sounded incredible. That song is the perfect opener for them and the pit was vicious. The setlist is partial because after a few songs we went to get more beer and ran into the girls from Angel's Rock Bar and I was enamored. I'm sure Papa Roach had more girls but I'll take quality over quanity any day. The last 6 songs are right and I think I got 90% of them. They easily played a full hour and sounded worlds better than when I saw them at Mayhem. The pit was absolutely brutal and made the Hatebreed pit seem like Sunday School. Next up was Hatebreed. It was obvious at least 75-100 people left which was fine by me. We grabbed 2 beers each and got up right next to the stage. Jamey Jasta is a General and does a great job commanding the stage and keeping the crowd fired up. I have an enormous amount of respect for that guy and think the metal community needs more people like him. When a chick fell in the pit he kept singing but gave orders to pick her up without missing a beat. Great setlist and the new stuff was the highlight for me. In Ashes They Shall Reap and Everyone Bleeds Now are 2 of the best songs released in 2009 for me and were so much more powerful live. If you plan on leaving after CC you'll be missing out on a great show. If they had played A Call for Blood it would have been the best set I've ever seen them play.

i agree with Indestructible. the NEW Hatebreed album is incredible!!! At least 2 more songs off the new one and we would be golden. Especially when their new self-titled album is their best since Perseverance

Good to see a Cannibal Corpse setlist also, on top of it they brought back DEVOURED BY VERMIN

Awesome sets from both CC and Hatebreed. The thing is I would much rather have A Call for Blood than Everyone Bleeds Now. I'm not a fan of their new album, but I do like In Ashes and Merciless Tide. And it is fucking gaytarded that Unearth isn't playing Giles. It's easily their best song (for me, at least) and I've seen them twice this year already without them playing it. Nice Hatebreed and CC set. Cant wait for this show. I am still excited to see Unearth and I loved The March so i am excited to see a few off that one.

i was lucky enough to catch unearth on their mini headlining tour. they were fucking awesome, and the CC set is sooooo gooddddddd. i think im deff getting tickets for this.

when i was at the vader show last week, some people were debating if it was worth the 22.50 to go for essentially 25 minutes of Hate Eternal. From the looks of it, prob not
