Wow, maybe I'm living in a bubble, but I honestly think everyone has shit in their ears if they think Death Magnetic isn't the best of these.

The production is my only issue. I don't think the songs are too long, I mean, ...AJFA has longer songs than Death Magnetic and those aren't boring.

Minor point, but the production is OK. As good as Rick Rubin ever gets, anyway. It's the mastering that fucks it up.

Despite that, great album. Just doesn't belong in a comparison with "recent albums".
