I hope question #1 in the interview is "Why has Edguy stagnated so incredibly fast to have gone from one of the most exciting bands in modern metal to a stale half-assed band in the course of 5 years?"

Tobi lied to us in San Marcos! Haha. Pretty much the same set...but we didn't get the "cover" teasers or the cover of Runaway at all - just the Maiden one. We also didn't get "Sacrifice" - uuuugggh the setlists for the states were too damn short, and lacking old power metal classics...and why did they drop "Out of Control" anyway?!
I hate how they pulled out "Until We Rise Again," "The Headless Game" and "The Pharaoh" in the setlists for Europe and all that but dropped them when they got to the US. I still had fun at the show...the setlists are my main complaint.

There is a mistake on your set list. Superheroes was before Save Me. In fact, Tobi made a note of his "f&$@ up" on stage, don't you remember? Anyway, I second that it was a good show. Well worth my drive time from Arizona, a state way to many bands bypass.

Live review and pictures now posted! Sorry for the delay. I had submitted the content the next day after the show itself but the webmasters were little busy and couldn't put it up sooner.

Maiden33 got it all wrong!!! recent Edguy albums are better than the first ones!! maybe he's one of those guys who wants them to get stuck playing only Power Metal and not evolve.
They should maintain a right balance between Classic Metal and the more commercial hard rock which is why i love Hellfire Club, their best album in my opinion. Last edited by MetalDoug; 10-13-2009 at 07:20 AM. |
