Between The Buried And Me -- Lancaster, PA -- September 3rd, 2009
All Bodies
Selkies: The Endless Obsession Obfuscation Disease, Injury, Madness Foam Born (A) The Backtrack (B) The Decade Of Statues Sun of Nothing - - - - - - - - - - White Walls Well I randomly visited the band's website 2 days ago, and was quite surprised to find out they were playing a show in Lancaster, PA today which is only about an hour away from where I live. How did I not know about this sooner!? Needless to say I bought tickets post-haste. The venue was the Chameleon Club, which I had heard of but never been to. It was a cool enough place -- pretty small, good sound, an outdoor deck on the 2nd floor, and a parking garage right across the street. BTBAM played an awesome set. The songs from the new album (Obfuscation and Disease, Injury, Madness) sounded great. White Walls is such an epic song, especially as the encore, that song alone was worth the price of admission. They played for about 90 minutes but their set went by really fast. My only complaint is that I wish they had played longer!

This was a headlining show. But it's not a full headlining tour, they're just heading up to Canada to join the In Flames tour.

Lame. Aren't they supporting In Flames on their US Tour, too?
I saw them open up for Bodom and was underwhelmed, but I bet if they had more time, it'd be awesome.

The first time I saw BTBAM was on the Progressive Nation tour last year with Dream Theater and Opeth. Then I saw them again at an off-date headlining show just a few days later, and it was a completely different experience. I would definitely recommend seeing them headline if you can. It won't break the bank either, tickets to the show tonight were like $15.

This setlist is pretty great. I'd just throw Ants of the Sky in there somewhere and it's perfect (provided the new songs are awesome, which I kinda think they will be).

I do think its the same song that is mentioned on the wiki page "noisy Coalesce breakdown, 3/4 Mastodon groove, 9/8 The Mars Volta, Queen chromatic build up, and Megadeth chorus" Although the spacy part of that song sounded more something that pink floyd would do.
