Soulfly -- Tempe, AZ -- August 14th, 2009

13th Annual D-Low Memorial Show at The Marquee Theater

Only about half as many people in attendance, and not as many bands as last year.
Sadus, Incite, Primer 55 opened the show... as well as a few local openers.

Incite was awesome, but the crowd was silent during Sadus. No respect for the old school thrashers I guess.

Soulfly was great as usual, but it seemed that some of their songs were shortened, maybe to fit more in the set. Some of their songs were just medleys, including covers of Slayer - Raining Blood, Carcass - Corporal Jigsore Quandary, and a Metallica song. (I can't remember which one)

I caught the setlist and it goes like this:
Intro - Blood, Fire, War, Hate
Sanctuary
----------------------
Intro - Prophecy
Intro - Primitive
Seek and Strike
Living Sacrifice
Enemy Ghost
Fire/Mars
----------------------
Refuse/Resist
Doom
L.O.T.M./Molotov/Drums
----------------------
Attitude
Bleed/Tree Of Pain
----------------------
Troops Of Doom
Unleash
----------------------
Babylon
Roots
Eye For An Eye

Cool review. Any idea what Sadus played?

Being on teh east coast we're getting Prong instead which isn't hateful but they're no Sadus

That's a cool set. Wish they would pull out Warmageddon though

I also wish I could make it to the show in the first place (granted Sadus rape the shit out of Prong), but sadly I'll be upstate when the show's in the city.
