Lollapalooza -- Chicago, IL -- August 7th, 2009

Just for shits and giggles, I thought I would post the set lists for the three bands I went to Lollapalooza to see. And before you ask, no - Tool was not one of them. Even though I am a huge Tool fan, I have seen them twice and I wasn't going to shell out another eighty bucks just to see them when there weren't that many more bands of interest to me scheduled for Saturday (plus, they played basically the same set I've seen before, plus, I had other plans: http://www.metalsetlists.com/showthread.php?t=10997)

Anyway, here are a few set lists:

Sound Tribe Sector 9
1. Shock Doctrine
2. Atlas
3. Beyond Right Now
4. Hidden Hand Hidden Fist
5. EHM
6. Rent
7. Unquestionable Supremacy of Nature
(courtesy of the Lollapalooza discussion forum)

These guys were so damned good. What an infectious groove. Totally stellar live.

Crystal Castles
1. Atlantis To Interzone
2. Baptism
3. Courtship Dating
4. Reckless
5. Crimewave (discussion on whether this was the 4th or 5th song?)
6. Air War
7. Black Panther
8. Alice Practice
9. Yes No
(courtesy of yours truly, with a little help from the Lollapalooza discussion forum)

Alice has crowd surfing and other self-destruction issues! I love it. What a live show - very punk rock for an electronic act...nice.

Depeche Mode
1. In Chains
2. Wrong
3. Hole to Feed
4. Walking In My Shoes
5. It's No Good
6. A Question of Time
7. Precious
8. Fly on the Windscreen
9. Home
10. Come Back
11. Policy of Truth
12. In Your Room
13. I Feel You
14. Enjoy the Silence
15. Never Let Me Down Again
(encore)
16. Stripped
17. Personal Jesus
(courtesy of yours truly, who posted the correct version on the Lollapalooza discussion forum...amateurs)

One of the best sets I've ever seen DM do (and I've seen them like five or so times). They were so loud, they were ALMOST metal (but not quite).
