Random Question

This is completely out of left field, but here goes.

Has anyone ever seen those glass bottles full of liquid and peppers and stuff? What are those for? It looks like some sort of juice/sauce making process, but I've never known for sure.

Any help?

I have seen on some cooking shows people can put Shrimp and some fruit I cant remember what it was and the acid in the fruit actually cooked the shrimp. But that is the only thing other than decoration I have ever seen them used for!

Yes.

You can eat them. But usually if you want something like that you get it without a decorative jar.
