This tour would be much better if it was just High On Fire and Mastodon.

I guess this may be a stupid question, but how can this be a co-headlining tour? Surely Mastodon will headline this won't they?

Once you get into one of these groups there's only a couple of ways you can get out

It's ironic that Mastodon was formed at a High on Fire show, and High on Fire is the last band on the bill.

The 'poster' in the link has them co-headlining, it's also presented by Adult Swim. I don't think they could care less about set times or order as long as Dethklok gets as much publicity as it can.

That is interesting. I did not know that. And surely Converge would be the 1st band to play with High On Fire 2nd. Right?

I guess it doesn't really matter. If Dethklok plays last I can catch HOF and Mastodon and then leave early.

I would have thought so but HoF was rightmost on the bill. We'll see how it works out.

And I would probably stay a while to watch, but not stick around for the whole set.

I wouldn't be so sure. The last Dethklok tour sold out all over the place, including a 1,500 capacity venue here in Seattle. Mastodon sold out in Seattle as well, but at a venue that holds 500. I thought the Dethklok tour was great - you can't go wrong with Keneally on guitar and Hoglan on drums.

The last Mastodon tour was intentionally booked at small venues, and they should only be drawing bigger crowds last time because of the people that missed out last time and the new album.
The last Dethklok tour was the first tour to hit pretty much everywhere, not just 10-15 college campuses. It sounded like it was just as much for fans of the show as it was for fans of the music. Now that the awe factor of a Dethklok show is gone and everyone knows there won't be any deaths during the performance, it should only draw as many or less than the last time.

Yeah, Dethklok has sold out both times they were here, as have Mastodon.
