even if I like nothing else matters, that's certainly not a good enough song to pay $60 for a ticket. That is if I only liked NEM that is, which isn't the case.

If only everyone thought like that, the rest of us would have to put up with the scores of pop fans who turn up for those two songs every show.

$60 is cheap too...

I guess my concert experiences seeing Metallica differ. I don't doubt that there are people who just come to hear just Sandman and NEM which is very sad in my book. But every time i've seen them everyone is singing along to everything and drowning out James on all the songs ecept for when they did Frantic and St. Anger last tour.

I stand by what I originaly said though If they dropped it now and never played it again their shows would still sell out. I just can't believe this song is a big selling point ticket wise for them.

when I saw metallica last nov. in the seats they were $58 per ticket not including fees.

Less predictable than lots of bands. Helloween and Kamelot played the exact same songs on their last tour for all their shows! Metallica mixes up more than these bands.

I agree, they probably would. But not in the numbers they do now. They sold out Wembley Stadium in London. 50,000+ people. No chance they'd do that again if people suspected the big hits weren't going to be played.

No Kamelot switched it up once or twice (they played Farewell when I saw them.)

Agreed. They do what Metallica do. They rotate songs in certain slots on the setlist. But they are very similar. I saw them once each in 2007, 2008 and 2009 and got a few different songs (like 'Anthem' this year), but overall very similar sets.
