Mile High Music Festival -- Denver, CO -- July 18th, 2009
Here are setlists for Tool and Incubus from the annual Mile High Music Festival in Denver. Tool was amazing. Best live band I've ever seen. However, they really disappoint with their setlist, which contains a relatively small sampling of their catalog and is virtually unchanged from the second leg of their 10,000 Days tour from winter 2007. I was hoping for some changes. Both Tool and Incubus played for about 80-90 minutes each.

Let Down
I love TOOL, but for them to come out and play the same setlist in the same order (minus a few songs) from '07 really let me down. After there was a lot of hoopla on toolarmy.com about them rehearsing a new cover for this tour and they didn't play it.
If you saw the '07 winter tour, then you didn't miss a thing. Everything was exactly the same. You'd think after a year and a half they'd at least mix up the setlist, but not so much. Fuck it. I'm going to Mayhem festival today. Slayer won't let me down.

TOOL SETLIST
Nowadays TOOL plays the exact same setlist for an entire tour (at least for the entire leg of a given tour). Anyone who is hoping for a change in setlist is going to be very disappointed.
This may be explained at least in part by the complexity of their live show and the demands of integrating their musical performance with the visuals that they run for each song. I can understand why they don't switch things up within a given tour. That said, it is definitely inexcusable for TOOL to not switch things up between tours. Given the amount of time off they've had, the high expectations and devotion of TOOL fans, and the vast sums of money being spent for tickets (a one-day pass to the Mile High Music Festival was $90), they need to come up with a fresh setlist for each new tour. I hope the band members of TOOL read the message boards on their fan sites -- people there are pissed! |

...AND ANOTHER THING
...and another thing...
At the merchandise booth at the Mile High Music Festival, TOOL posters were $25. The same poster autographed by all 4 band members was $100. The poster was awesome and was specific for this particular show...however, the following day I went to the Rockstar Mayhem Festival and got signed posters from All That Remains, God Forbid, Job For A Cowboy, Black Dahlia Murder and Killswitch Engage -- AND ALL OF THESE POSTERS WERE FREE!!! There was corporate sponsorship, but give me a break! TOOL definitely gouges their fans. |

Pretty solid Incubus set, but I'm really glad to see those songs, and anything off of Science is always nice to hear.

All Hail incubus. That is a great setlist. Tool just flat out pisses me off. I'll sell my fukkin ticket before I'll go see the same exact setlist I've already seen twice. Errrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr
