It says that the intro tape for One was played, but James started to play Fade. What was that about?

yea I read about some fuck-ups by James on the Metclub forums. May be this was one of them. He didn't realise it was the One intro and not Fade intro.

They don't use an intro tape for Fade.

I haven't seen it either, but I've seen plenty of live videos and as far as I know they've never used an intro tape. The guitars for both songs start off with the same two notes, so I guess I could understand a fuckup.

yea yea .. totally. I try playing those songs too and the intro is very similar.

Maybe James realised during the intro to One that nothing off RTL was in the set and he thought "well that ain't right" and decided to play Fade instead.

I think we're missing the big story here. THEY DIDN'T PLAY ONE

When was the last time Metallica played a headline set and didn't play it? I think it's been in every headline set over the last 20 years.

When was the last time Metallica played a headline set and didn't play it? I think it's been in every headline set over the last 20 years.

Someone told me it was back in Leeds in 2003 that they didn't play One.
