Mantic Ritual -- Anaheim, CA -- July 11th, 2009

It took a lot of effort for me just to get to Chain Reaction Anaheim today. But it was totally worth it. I went there just to see Mantic Ritual's show and they didn't disappoint!! They were hanging out in the parking lot before the show and I met them too. Very cool guys. The place sucked big time though. First of all I have no idea why this band is on a tour with Pro-Pain and Sworn Enemy. There were hardly even 50 people inside the place, not even 10 of those being thrash metal fans.

I got there at around 8, hung out with the guys till around 8 30 and then went in with Robert (rjturtle9). The band who took the stage at 8.30 were some hardcore band named 'Soulbleed'. The vocalist was so 'hardcore' that he kept grabbing his balls for most of the time. I was glad when their show got over and Mantic Ritual hit the stage at 9.15. There was hardly anyone in the crowd though. Just the 2 of us and not more than 5 other guys. They played for about 30 minutes and this is what they played.

After the show the guys were at the merch booth and Dan came up to us and thanked us for being in the front. I hope they come back to LA soon, and with a better touring line-up.

You met them like how I did. They are really chill guys, I hope that they do a much better toruing lineup one of these days, or a small club headlining tour or something!
