Hop Around 06. Commando 07. Listen To My Heart 08. I Don't Wanna Walk Around With You 09. Cretin Hop 10. Judy Is A Punk 11. I Wanna Be Sedated 12. I Just Want To Have Something To Do 13. Sheena Is A Punk Rocker 23. It's Not Enough (there might have been an encore break after either Blizkrieg Bop or Born To Lose) The Ramainz featuring Dee Dee Ramone and Marky Ramone with Dee Dee's wife Barbara on bass hit southern California for 4 shows. I went to 3 of them. The Country Club was a short and tense gig with the start time delayed over an hour due to some sort of difficulties backstage (might have been financial with the club). There were already several opening bands and the crowd was drunk and irate. Jack's Sugar Shack next to the Palace was a much better show. It was a smaller venue packed beyond capacity, but while the Country Club was all ages with a lot of young punks, this had the older crowd most of whom probably bought their first Ramones records in the 1970's. Spent a bit of time with Dee Dee on 6/20 and I requested Time Bomb. By the time they hit the stage, he couldn't remember my name so he said "this is for Tom's friend". He also played guitar with a Cheap Trick pic I caught at their Palace show a few days earlier. Backstage he said "I don't have a pic" and I still had that one in my wallet. Ended up seeing Dee Dee 22 times total between 1999 and 2002 and have some great memories of those shows. His voice is an acquired taste but he wrote some of the best songs ever. The only downside is he settled into Ramones greatest hits and ignored some of his great solo material. Anaheim was a bit more like Reseda, just a smaller venue and the band was in a better mood.
