Nicko Briefly Talks About New Maiden Album

We start working on a new record in November. We’ve got November and the first couple of weeks of December booked into writing. We’re gonna do a new album in January 2010, and we should tour with that in late summer, fall time. That’s the plan. Hopefully, God willing, everybody’s health is good and we can get on with it and get out there again.

Sounds good to me!

I hate how Maiden takes a shitload of time off but then rushes the album process so much. I hate the Shirley/Harris method of slackass production and rushed performances, and was really hoping the next one would be different, but I have a feeling already that it won't be. I'm not knock the material, just the production, sound, and overall vibe of the production. The last two albums have sounded incredibly muddy, and overall it just sounds like the band could've done better performances, particularly Bruce.

Well at least AMOLAD's production was a step up from Dance of Death, imo, although not quite as good as Brave New World's... Here's hoping they spend the time needed for some awesome production.

Maiden albums have pretty much always been recorded in less than a month, not just these last few.

I figured they already had some stuff written, or atleast some basic concepts down. Now if they start arguing over the songs then the tour will be pushed back because they don't have any wiggle room.
