The Final Destination
I won tickets to an advanced screening of The Final Destination and loved it. If you're looking for the coolest 3D experience and some mindless fun I highly recommend it. The soundtrack and eye candy factors are both solid and there are more laughs than even I expected.
The most impressive thing is the Real 3D. Stuff actually looks like it's a foot from your face and you will jump when things fly at you. I was with an ecclectic group to say teh least and everyone loved it and actually cheered at teh end. I don't think I've ever heard cheering after a movie before. In a summer of hyped blockbusters that either didn't deliver or were just plain stupid this movie was my favorite by far. Final Destination KILLS! Literally...

By this I certainly hope you don't mean Inglorious Basterds OR District 9.

Haven't seen either of those yet. I was mostly referring to Terminator and the wall of stupidity otherwise known as Transformers. People were saying Star Trek was the best movie all summber and I'm sure the 3d effects in FD were way cooler than any explosion in Star Trek minus all the geekdom.
Might go see IB tonight. Recently watched the original and it was boring and dated but that was without QT. Is District 9 as good as they hype?

Sweeeeeeeeeeeeet. Maybe I'll see that. Last night was free so I don't mind dropping a few duckets on a great flick tonight.
Just curious does a bottle of water cost $4.50 in theaters everywhere? Out of principle I couldn't do it and got the kids popcorn and Icee meal for $5 and it even came with a Sour Punch Rope. WIN! hahahaha

At least, you could at my AMC. That was one of the first things they told me when I worked there.

Star Trek is my 2nd fave film of the year behind Inglorious Basterds. I liked Terminator as well i thought it was a good tie-in with the rest of the franchise and it had some pretty damn good action. Still need to see District 9 ive heard great things.
