Lamb Of God -- Philadelphia, PA -- April 19th, 2009
We arrived at the Electric Factory around 5:50pm and got the last parking spot along the wall next to the venue. This was right near the tour buses and the VIP entrance. When we pulled in, Mark Morton and John Campbell were hanging out in the parking lot talking to a few fans. Before we had a chance to get out and talk to them, they had gone back inside, but it was cool nonetheless. We also saw Bam Margera going in the VIP entrance, and my friend went up and bummed a cigarette from him.
Anyway, we hung out in the parking lot for a couple hours instead of going into the venue right away. But since we were parked right next to the venue, we could hear when the opening bands went on stage. Here is the schedule to the best of my memory: 6:00 Doors 7:00 - 7:30 God Forbid 7:45 - 8:10 Municipal Waste 8:25 - ?:?? Children Of Bodom ?:?? - ?:?? As I Lay Dying 10:40 - 12:00 Lamb Of God We went into the venue around 8:20 to see Children Of Bodom. It was my first time seeing them, and they put on a pretty good show. The crowd was really into them too, I can only imagine what it would be like to see them headlining. I'm not 100% sure on the setlist, but I think it was the same as previous shows on this tour: Silent Night, Bodom Night Hate Me! Hellhounds On My Trail Living Dead Beat Angels Don't Kill Bodom Beach Terror In Your Face Blooddrunk Downfall My friend dislocated his shoulder in the pit during Bodom, so after their set was done we went outside to pop his shoulder back in place and catch a breather. (We weren't too keen on seeing As I Lay Dying anyway.) We went back inside after As I Lay Dying was done and waited for Lamb Of God. When they came on, the whole place went nuts. This was my 5th time seeing them and they seem to get better every time. The songs from the new album sounded great, especially Contractor and Reclamation. Here's the setlist: The Passing In Your Words Set to Fail Walk With Me In Hell Hourglass Now You've Got Something To Die For Ruin Dead Seeds Blacken the Cursed Sun Grace [extended intro with guitar solo] Broken Hands Laid to Rest Contractor Reclamation Redneck Black Label My pictures from the show: http://pictures.leglessmoof.net/v/concerts/2009_04_19/ A couple samples:

Great pics Bro! I'll have to venture up to the Electric Factory one of these days. My buddy sings for Beyond The Scar and they played there a few times. He loved it there. It's cool that every place allows cameras now.
Now if I can just get those fukkers to bust out Fake Messiah I'll go APESHIT!

So I checked out As I Lay Dying and while they're still pretty bad, they weren't as bad as I expected. And I listened to that "Set To Fail" LoG song and it's okay. So, I think I'm gonna have a good time next Wednesday.

I'm not planning to go to the 2nd show. But it wouldn't surprise me if they did something "special" like change up the setlist or debut a new song.
