Anaal Nathrakh Update!

England's extreme metal duo ANAAL NATHRAKH will release its new album, "In The Constellation Of The Black Widow", on June 29 via Candlelight Records. A limited-edition vinyl version of the effort will be made available the same month via Feto Records (the label run by NAPALM DEATH's Shane Embury and ANAAL NATHRAKH's Mick Kenney). A digital single entitled "More Of Fire Than Blood" will precede the full-length CD via iTunes on June 6.

And they supposedly have releaesd re-mastered versions of "Total Fucking Necro", "The Codex Necro" and "When Fire Rains Down..." on iTunes, but I can only find TFN so far...

June 29 can't come fast enough.

Not sad. They aren't very well known, but they're my favorite band. I pesonally think they're far and away the best extreme metal band making music today.

You should try their last album "Hell Is Empty, And All The Devils Are Here". It's one of their best and lots of people like it. My favorite, however, is The Codex Necro, but that's a little more brutal.

That's hard. People say they're like The Axis Of Perdition, but I've never heard them. They're a black/grind band, but there are some elements of death metal and even industrial metal. You'd really have to just listen on your own.

Their most accessible is probably Domine Non Es Dignus, because they were basically a blackened death metal band on that record. However, Eschaton and Hell Is Empty, and All The Devils Are Here are probably their best "black/grind" among fans.

My favorite is their first, The Codex Necro, but that's pretty brutal for first time listeners.
