A Question For Metalheads

I know there are several smart people on this board. After Dallas leaving GF a few weeks ago it got me to thinking. Has there ever been a band that kept all of the same members from day 1? Not counting bands like NIN or Ministry who have a revolving door of members. I thought about it for a while and thought of big bands Priest, Maiden, Sabbath, AC/DC and a bunch of others and never came up with a band that has had same members from day 1 and w/o adding members later on as well. If you can think of one right of the bat don't be stupid about it. Just a fun thing I thought of and thought others might enjoy trying to come up w/ bands. If this is a stupid idea tell me anyway. I don't care how crappy or not crappy the band.

I think Blind Guardian has only changed one member, and that was semi-recently.

There was one I found that had kept all original members...I'll see if I can remember.

Hmm. I'd always heard that Aerosmith has never changed their lineup, but a quick check on Wikipedia proved that wrong. I can't think of any.

Tool - almost.

Paul D'Amour left after "Undertow", and was replaced by Justin Chancellor, who is the bassist to this day (fifteen years later). The other three founding members have never left. One change in twenty years or so might be as close as you can get.

I'll post others if / as I think of them.

Theres an awful lot of bands that only replaced one member. Amon Amarth, for example, around for 17 years, switched drummers 11 years ago, stayed same since.

...another "almost" is Bolt Thrower.

They changed drummers twice in twenty-plus years. The other four founding members have remained since 1988, except vocalist Karl Willets, who left for one album (2001's "Honour Valour Pride"), and then came back.

Here's one - France's Gojira. Same members since 2000 - which doesn't sound that impressive, but it is nine years, after all. And it's a perfect record, as far as I know.
