Black Label Society -- Philadelphia, PA -- April 11th, 2009
Start time on the ticket said 8:30. We arrived inside the venue around 9:45.
Sevendust took the stage at 10:00 and played for about an hour. The energy from the band was good, but overall I was not impressed. I only recognized one song they played, "Bitch", which was their second-to-last song. They also teased us with some covers -- "Black Sabbath" by Black Sabbath, "Master Of Puppets" by Metallica, "Walk" by Pantera and a 4th one which I didn't recognize -- just a few seconds of each.
BLS took the stage around 11:35 and played until about 1:15. I thought the sound could have been better, but other than that, their performance was top notch. Highlights for me were "The Blessed Hellride" and Zakk's guitar solo. Here's the setlist:
Black Mass Reverends
<< two songs which I didn't recognize >>
Damage Is Done
In This River
Fire It Up
Guitar Solo / The Star-Spangled Banner
Stoned And Drunk
The Blessed Hellride
The two songs I didn't recognize were probably "The Rose Petalled Garden" and "Faith Is Blind", but I don't know what order they were played in. Any clarification would be appreciated.
