Meh... average setlist... I like the fact that Green Manalishi is in there... but for the most part, both generic and somewhat dissapointing.

You gotta think about it though, they were just one of the bands in there (Scorpions and Ian Gillan were there, too) and I suppose they wanted to play a greatest hits -alike setlist: if they would have played more some rarely played songs the audience would have been confused, since I'm sure there were also fans of Ian Gillan and Scorpions. Face it, they played it safe this time.

Take On The World isn't one of my faves either, though it is better than your average metal anthem. The reason why they played it was probably that this particular song was among their first radio hit and it was broadcasted a lot by Tommy Vance. This show was kind of a tribute to him, so that probably explains Take On The World. (I remember reading about Take On The World in a interview before the RAH show)

But well, that setlist was a bit mediocre, I have to admit. I liked the setlist of last tour much better, but thinking of these circumstances that's actually a satisfying setlist. It would have been kinda cool to have been there.

Ive seen way better priest set lists out there. Even though this isnt the best set list out there, i wouldve loved to have been at the show. Priest and the Scorpions together on the same night wouldve been awesome.

The Priest get an hour or just over, what do you want? I was there and Heading Out To The Highway was the first surprise, since it's not been played on the Angel Of Retribution tour at all. Take On The World might not be the greatest Priest tune ever, but it was last played on the Killing Machine tour waaaay back in 1978 so who's arguing? The band canned Victim Of Changes, Beyond The Realms Of Death and Painkiller in order to fit in what they did ( all of which have been staples in the set since 1990) so I repeat, what more could you ask for?

They canned their three best staples unfortunately, and played to a non-metal crowd with lots of non-metal.

But I wasn't there and if you enjoyed yourself it doesn't matter either way.
