Arrow My Dying Bride -- Baltimore, MD -- May 25th, 2014

The greatest damn day of life, finally. Showed up on the last day of MDF and got myself a 2XL MDB shirt because they sold out of normal people size, so it looks like a dress on me...only $20 though which was fantastic. Got myself right up front for he whole gig and it was such a cathartic experience I swear. My cultural dream came true. I got a Hamish pick and got to meet him and the drummer afterwards. I'm so fortunate to have seen this, Aaron said it won't be another 18 years before they come back again, we'll see. There's really no complaining about the set list, beggars can't be choosers at all with this one. I really felt like I went to church tonight. Some pics when I get home tomorrow or the next day...

The Dreadful Hours
Like Gods Of The Sun
The Crown Of Sympathy
Like A Perpetual Funeral
From Darkest Skies
She Is The Dark
Turn Loose The Swans
The Cry Of Mankind
The Thrash Of Naked Limbs

I'd be happy with that set. With so much to choose from (and so many songs clocking in at over eight minutes) you can't expect to hear all you favorites. But to just SEE My Dying Bride would be worth it in of itself. I don't think they've been to Toronto since 1996 or 1998.

Felt surreal that it was really happening, and that I was really there to see it...so happy with how it turned out. What a great day & night of shows. Disappointed that they didn't have shirts in my size, but I'll try to order one online later.

Shocked at no "Catherine Blake". It is my favorite MDB song but I also thought it was one of their most popular, asides "The Cry of Mankind." I would give much to see them play.
