Not a bad set at all, but two songs from MotS is a misunderstanding for me.

I should check out the new album. I always thought they were better on album than live. More mysterious and more going on on album that can't translate live. That said I'd like to see how they pull off And the great cold death of the earth.

Bummed that I missed the Seattle date . Was thinking of going but I am not a fan of the bar or area the show was in.

Also, I cannot believe that I can say this, but after two listens, I don't like The Serpent and the Sphere. It's the first Agalloch release that I consider a disappointment...A review on Metal-Archives.com gave a pretty great perspective on the album, many of the same opinions on it. I don't know what it is, but I can't get into it. I've always considered Agalloch to do no wrong, album wise definitely. Not anymore though

Serpent & the Sphere is definitely a divisive release to be sure. It'll be interesting to see how it's viewed in a few years.

I'd definitely love to see Agalloch live on this tour, it's weird that they're not making any CA stops. Aesop gave one of the most titanic drum performances I've ever seen at the SF show I saw with slap two or so years ago.
