This is the truth, absolutely love that record. Can't wait for their new EP to drop.

Everything's so good on it. Guitar tone, production, vocals, it's almost perfect. Definitely a record that'll probably top my list in my official proposal of "Official metalsetlists.com Best 2014 2013 album".

Still haven't heard that much new stuff this year. I plan on playing catch up once the semester is over. Here's my current top 10.

1. Gridlink - Longhena
2. Freddie Gibbs & Madlib - Pinata
3. Behemtoh - The Satanist
4. Micachu - Under The Skin OST
5. OFF! - Wasted Years
6. Indian - From All Purity
7. Marissa Nadler - July
8. Artificial Brain - Labyrinth Constellation
9. Andrew Jackson Jihad - Christmas Island
10. The Men - Tomorrow's Hits

From what I gather I need to listen to the new ones from Thou, Triptykon, and Cormorant. What else would be up my alley?

Yeah man. Not sure if you dig emo/math rock, but if you do, check out the new Owls record, Two. Features members of Cap'n Jazz.

Also, everybody should listen to the new Lantlos record, Melting Sun. Herbst actually knows how to properly abandon black metal and move to post-rock/shoegaze, unlike Neige.

If you like the new Behemoth you'll love the new Thantifaxath and Impetuous Ritual. You should check out the new Sun Kil Moon too.
