It's not that I'd be 100% upset seeing this set, but I'd feel cheated out of my money if this was all I got for the ticket price.

Put Symphony of Destruction near the beginning (surprise!)
Keep Peace Sells
Keep Tornado of Souls

I am actually 100% okay if every other song in the set is switched out for something else. (something else good, that is)

Megadeth needs something to kickstart interest in them again.

The entire set needs changing. So does Motorhead's, while we're at it.

Basically what manks said. Peace Sells and Tornado should stay (and Holy Wars too, manks you clown), the rest should go. Sure stuff like Darkest Hour and Wake Up Dead are great, but they've been playing them constantly for years. Time to change because the same boring set over and over again will be played to smaller and smaller crowds each time it's recycled.

I would only argue that there are people such as me who just got into megadeth recently and haven't seen all of these songs live. That doesn't even count the numerous new fans that are younger who are discovering them, I think as a new fan I would be disappointed if I went to see them and didn't hear some of these songs.

They can't keep playing like everyone's new though. They've been doing that for years, and they'll go back to it too. In between times they should be changing things because frankly they don't gain new fans at such a rate that playing sets tailored for them is particularly valid.

Megadeth has been decent getting newer material in its set lists over the years imo. The band is at that stage in their career where at least half their set list is predetermined.

Megadeth and Motorhead on the same bill is win enough for me. How often do you REALLY get two bands that normally headline the same size venues playing together on the same bill? Rarely happens. I've paid these bands headline separately multiple times.

Not only does Megadeth's set list need a MAJOR overhaul, but they need to extend their set time by at least twenty minutes. Playing an hour twenty just doesn't cut it for a band with a catalog as sizable as theirs.

In My Darkest Hour is from SFSGSW. They never play anything off their first album so there's no use in getting sad over that. Every now and then Mechanix or Rattlehead finds it's way in but that's it.

I'm seeing them in July and the tickets are only $12. For that price I would be happy with this set even though the only song in this set I haven't seen them do multiple times is Kingmaker. Their set certainly needs an overhaul but I think Mustaine is just going through the motions and collecting a paycheck at this point. I don't believe he cares enough anymore to dust off old songs and surprise us with some rarities. It seems though if you pay him to do a 20th anniversary tour for an album then he's all for busting out some different tunes.

Jesus christ Lemmy throw in at least Heartbreaker, the damn single to the album!

the set ought to look like this:

Heartbreaker
Damage Case
Dead Men Tell No Tales
Lost Woman Blues (Or Coup De Grace)
Love Me Like A Reptile
In The Name of Tragedy
The One To Sing The Blues
Death Machine (or Paralyzed)
Deaf Forever
Killed By Death
Ace of Spades
Overkill

He was hinting at a possible 20th for Youthanasia, something like that I would go for
