Y&T -- Londonderry, NH -- April 6th, 2014

Left my house on this perfect New England spring day (62 degrees and sunny) at 445, picked up a friend in Haverhill & we arrive at the venue at 545. Doors open at 6 and the show is scheduled to begin at 7.

Took one look at the stage and saw that it would just be Y&T tonight, no openers. Fine by me, as coming home from a show at a reasonable hour in a different state rarely happens. There was a slight delay due to Brad's bass cutting in and out, so Y&T hit the stage at exactly 720.

Immediately after the first song, Dave said that we would have to bear with him this evening because he was sick. Wouldn't have known it until what ended up being the final song, when he started coughing a bit. They cut out the encore, which was supposed to be Eyes of a Stranger & Forever, so Dave wouldn't completely blow out his voice.

Even sans encore, they still clocked in at 1 hour and 53 minutes of ass kicking rock n roll. I cannot recommend enough to anyone that you should see these guys live. Ridiculously tight band and you'd be hard pressed to find a better lead singer/lead guitarist than Dave Meniketti.

Great show, and much respect for Dave as he was getting worse and worse as the show went on and yet he still sounded amazing. Too bad the bass rig couldn't be fixed, as it was cutting in and out all night. Definitely catch this show if it comes near you. Worth the time and $$.
