Another movie I like very much.

Minority Report is the most realistic SF-movie ever made imho.

Disagree on Collateral. Cruise was the reason that movie rocked. He was decent in lots of others, such as Oblivion, Minority Report, Eyes Wide Shut, Vanilla Sky, Magnolia...

No fucking way did I buy him as The Last Samurai, though.

On the other hand, I thought his cameo in Tropic Thunder was outstanding.

Primer and Moon, watch them! Great movies with hard sci-fi roots, everything has it's plausibility rooted in actual science.

Minority report is great, though.

Hmm I'm not with the consensus on Jack Reacher, I thought it was one of the dumbest action movies I've ever seen. Cruise and a couple of half-decent fight scenes was pretty much the only reason it wasn't a complete disaster.

I still think his cameo in Tropic Thunder is his best moment on-screen.

I was about to say Vanilla Sky sucked, but then realized I was confusing it with October Sky.

I guess I could also add Mission Impossible 4 to the list of great films that Tom Cruise just happens to be in.

So wow. Late to the party, just rented A Wolf On Wall Street. Wow, 35 mins in and I was absolutely sucked in. I don't remember the last time I was so sucked into a movie. I need to buy this, I hope eventually the original 4 hour version sees the light of day.
