Ripening Life is my favorite track, but I enjoy the more progressive ones as well. It's not going to suit everyone's tastes, that's for sure, but I like the direction they've taken. It has drawn a lot of comparisons to The Formulas of Death, but aside from the fact that both bands have made a big change in style on their sophomore records, I don't see that many similarities. The Formulas of Death has a much darker atmosphere and retained a lot more of the death metal elements of it's predecessor than Sweven did. Morbus Chron has taken their influences and created a unique sound, which I don't think is easy to do these days.
All of this Glad to see people liking it, I was worried for a second it wasn't going to be received very well. Probably my second favorite release of the year so far. I just keep coming back to it and finding more things to like about it.

Also new Incantation out in late may, "Dirges of Elysium."

Looking forward to that, YAITW, Homewrecker, Dead Congregation, Pyrrhon, Misery Index, Thantifaxath, Metal Clergy.. should be a good year in pretty much every genre.

Also, I only heard snippets of the new Morbus Chron, but what I heard sounded way more interesting than their debut.

I was kind of hoping the same. Though I wouldn't mind one bit if they structured it like their first three but threw in one long, drawn out track like Black Lake.

White Wizzard put out a new track today: http://whitewizzard.bandcamp.com/tra...thon-of-dreams

Jon took over on vocals, and unfortunately, he is holding this song back. His vocals aren't bad, but they aren't really powerful enough. It doesn't help that the production is really poor. It's unfortunate, because the song itself is great.

In more exciting news, another Breitenhold song was just released, and this is sounding like it will be one of the best albums of the year: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WM66Ph5qyLo
