Between the Buried and Me -- Huntington, NY -- February 21st, 2014

Intronaut wasn't able to make the show because their van broke down but solid sets from Cryptodira, Deafheaven, and BTBAM more than made up for it.

Strangely, there was a lot of hardcore guys at this show. A few people were hardcore dancing during Deafheaven's set. It was dumb.

Deafheaven:
Dream House
Irresistible
Sunbather
The Pecan Tree
Unrequited

BTBAM:
Foam Born (A) The Backtrack
(B) The Decade of Statues
Obfuscation
Astral Body
Lay Your Ghosts to Rest
Autumn
Selkies: The Endless Obsession
Bloom
Swim to the Moon
Silent Flight Parliament
Goodbye to Everything Reprise

Encore:
Sun of Nothing

They blew. During their set I just got really bored and sorta fell into a trance.

Damn. At least you tuned it out. I"m not looking forward to their set at all. I don't get their appeal whatsoever.

I only saw like one song of their set at the PTH show cause I had to go interview Affiance. The venue's sound was complete shit, so I was hoping it wasn't the band lol

Oh well, I'll find out next month.

Same here. I've liked them since they were Today I Caught The Plague, and they are all great guys to talk to.

The Kindred is alright. The music is really good, but the vocals are kind of grating. I'm still intrigued to see them tonight.

Yeah, I just pulled up a couple tracks and it's mainly the vocals that are just fucking god awful. Musically it's just twinkly "prog" metalcore and I just don't fuck with it. Eh, the next three bands will more than make up for it though.
