Saturday is a definite for me. If I don't have work that week I'm gonna go to Thursday too. I don't care enough about Friday.

NEW ENGLAND METAL & HARDCORE FESTIVAL Adds Wilson; Finalizes 2014 Fest Lineup

The promoters of the NEW ENGLAND METAL & HARDCORE FESTIVAL, currently gearing up for the sixteenth consecutive annual run of the event this April, have finalized this year’s lineup with the addition of Detroit party crew, Wilson.

Blending crunchy metallic riffs with pop-punk melodies and a raging, party hard attitude, Michigan quintet, Wilson, is all about jacking as much fun into their live sets as possible. Filthy, ultra energetic, hard-rocking mayhem is the name of the game for Wilson, and their set at NEMHF is sure to be an explosive addition to the festival’s Thursday lineup.

With sponsorships from Tama, Ibanez, New Noise Magazine, Monster Energy Drink, All In Merch and others, the iconic NEW ENGLAND METAL & HARDCORE FESTIVAL will once again feature two stages, the yearly gala continues to drive dozens of bands and thousands of fans from around the country to the renowned Worcester Palladium for solid three days of mayhem. The opening night of NEMHF XVI, Thursday, April 17th, will see headlining sets from Broken Hope, Oceano, Darkest Hour, the final East Coast show ever for Bleeding Through, Emmure and All That Remains. Day two, Friday, April 18th, will feature main acts Slapshot, The Acacia Strain, Carnifex, Whitechapel, 1349 and Behemoth as part of the massive Metal Alliance tour and more. And the final evening, Saturday, April 19th, will see sets from All Out War, a one-off show from Nails, Unearth, a special reunion set from Sam Black Church, Nile and the mighty Iced Earth along with many others dominating the stage.

Additionally, three local bands won the recent Break Thru Music’s Battle for Metal Fest competitions for a chance to perform at the event. This now adds Death Rattle to the Thursday lineup, Carnivora to Friday’s and Acius to the bill on Saturday.

I think Fallujah dropped off unfortunately. Or at least they said they couldn't go any farther east due to vehicle problems.

Minus a few closing bands each night I'd spend all my time on the hardcore stage.

Goatwhore on at the same time as Colin. Fuck! I'm okay with skipping Carnifex to see Slapshot, and skipping IDW to see the Mongoloids. Enabler and SoT is a bummer too. Overall, I am pleased.

We got about a 30 minute set in Austin (7 songs), but ours was a little local festival thing; I think they're playing about 40 min. (9 songs) on most dates.
