I think Manowar is deranged about how big they actually are. The one time I saw them was in Cleveland at Peabody's in 2002 in front of about 500 people. I'd love to see em again, though.
Someone on Facebook asked them about playing New York and they said it's a possibility in November. I wonder if they're planning another US run, or if it's just a couple of shows. If they come to Canada, I'm going, but I might end up going to the Chicago one because it's on a Saturday.

Manowar should just play the HOB here, which is around 1200 people. Maybe they could see that out.

I was at the show too
They were amazing but I agree too short.

Curious. They kept saying Detroit ticket holders get in free.
Did that mean you still get a refund for Detroit being canceled??
If not then the show really wasn't free.

Cool about the merch bag.
I don't have those CDs you got actually so if you wanted to trade or sell em please let me know.

Also, they did one-offs in Worcester in 2011 and 2012 and each show had at least 20 songs.

Reading this review from last night's Minneapolis show makes me think 14 songs will be the norm:

Also this setlist is horseshit. Are they really charging 75 to 100 dollars for a 14 song set?
Well, Manowar is horseshit anyway.

Indeed. This kind of thing happens a lot, but it's normally bigger bands than Manowar, and it's usually more about photography than interviews. For instance, Aerosmith require a waiver which says management must approve all photos before publication, so does KISS, and Ozzy's management will only allow photographers from places they've heard of (which isn't many, unsurprisingly).

I'm just hoping Black Sabbath aren't the same. I'll be annoyed if I can't shoot them this Summer.

Glad I decided not to travel to see this, 14 songs isn't near enough. Just curious, what type of video stuff did they show and what was it you didn't like?

It was mostly clips of either them making the original Kings of Metal and the new one. The videos also weren't synched for the most parts. It was just unnecessary, and they could of used that time to play a couple other songs. That's just my opinion. Also for Warrior's Prayer, they showed the old man and the kid who are featured on the track, doing the recording, which for me ruined some of the magic. But maybe i'm in the minority and people love that stuff nowadays.
