What's hilarious is that there's a local band that plays that stupid tech shit that absolutely disagreed with Nergal's point. Go figure. Even people I know that hate Behemoth and found it funny that Nergal was the one making this point agreed with him.

In this day and age when any young band plays technical, it gets written off as wankery and it just pisses me off. Gorguts rips through "overly technical" shit all day, but it's cool since they've been around for a while. When some young band like Fallujah does similar shit it's like "lol look at this wankery". Double standard is fucking hilarious.

I'd consider ROS more of a deathcore with BOO and ATB bordering on deathcore / metalcore.
Deathcore is a sub-genre of death metal.

Nah, the only band I mentioned that is wankery is Rings of Saturn. The others just sound like they're being technical for the sake of being technical. Too polished, too over produced. We need a good, dirty, sloppy death metal album once in a while. Thank God for Autopsy.

Still, two of those bands aren't really deathcore even.

To Nergal and teenagers that don't know better, they are.

All of those bands have strong deathcore roots and deathcore is still a primary part of their sound.
