Summer Slaughter 2014

Let's get this shit rolling early y'all!

SS just put on facebook :

Morbid Angel

If they do play there is no way they headline, or co-headline, they'd play in the same spot like Norma Jean did last year. SS plays HOB like MA did their last tour, only difference is SS packed the place and I heard MA had like 200 people.

That's a good start.

Hopefully it doesn't become Summer's Laughter like last year.

They'd better not be pulling our fucking leg like they did last year with Gojira.

That is why I am not believing anything until the official flyer comes out.

Everyone can go "OH LORDY LORDY MORBID ANGEL IS ON SUMMER SLAUGHTER." they did that last year with Gojira and other bands, I'm not falling for it.

They did it with Hate Eternal in 2012, and Skeletonwitch and 1349 in 2011.

Actually that was real. I talked to them about it twice and they turned down the offer because their slot would have been around 4pm every day and Erik didn't wanna do that.

Morbid Angel packed the venue here and I heard that tour did pretty well. Also it's Morbid fucking Angel, they're not going to open for Suicide Silence.

My guess is they would have played in between Goatwhore and Exhumed.

And if any Sumerian band should get on it this year, it's After the Burial. They haven't played it since 2009, and it would at least be a breath of fresh air from The Faceless/Periphery/Veil of Maya. I don't have anything against those bands, but they need to ease it up a bit.
